The interior style in this home in French Brittany shows the influence of the sea. Classic furniture with a vintage look, pictures and accessories reminiscent of past holidays were combined with a Douglas fir wide plank floor. As the house is located directly by the sea and can therefore be subject to climatic fluctuations, particularly high demands were placed on the dimensional stability of the wooden floor. The clients therefore chose an engineered Douglas fir wooden floor with a three-layer structure. Due to the crosswise gluing of the thinner layers, the floor adapts perfectly to the high air humidity of the environment.
