Installation
Initial care of a factory-finished plank floor
Oiled and soaped flooring with a factory-finished surface should be cleaned once after installation and then treated with an initial care product.
During installation, light soiling can occur, which is removed through cleaning. The final protection is then achieved with the last step – the initial care treatment. This should be applied shortly after installation. The initial care set is included with your order and supplied to match your flooring.
Surface treatment of an unfinished plank floor
A raw plank flooring is delivered to the construction site without any surface treatment. The finish is then applied after installation, either by the customer or by a flooring installer. Our flooring can be treated with lye, oil, or soap.
Maintenance & cleaning of your plank floor
The cleaning and care of your floor, as well as the appropriate maintenance products, depend on the type of surface finish. In our guidelines, we distinguish between oiled and soaped flooring. For cleaning and care, we recommend products from the WOCA brand. For our flooring with an “raw wood effect oil” finish, we recommend care products from the Naturhaus brand.
