The silver fir rift wall panels are characterised by their homogeneous surface appearance. With the rift and quarter sawn cut, the growth rings run almost perpendicular (45–90°) to the board surface. This creates particularly fine and clean lines.
Thanks to the special cutting method, shrinkage is reduced and the wood’s stability is improved.

FAQ Silver fir wall cladding
Silver fir is a rare wood from the Black Forest and grows right on our doorstep in the higher elevations of the region. Due to the altitude, it grows slowly, resulting in a particularly fine grain with closely spaced growth rings.
With the rift and quarter-swan cut, only the central part around the heart of the log is used. By cutting around the core, the growth rings run almost perpendicular (45–90°) to the board surface.
The wall panels are suitable for both residential and commercial spaces. Finished with hard wax oil, they are resistant to wear and abrasion, antibacterial, and repel dirt, water, and everyday liquids. They are also easy to clean and highly durable – making them ideal for high-traffic areas such as restaurants, retail spaces, nurseries, or spa environments (tested according to DIN 68861-1B and DIN EN 71-3).
The panels feature tongue-and-groove profiling on the long sides, allowing for full-surface installation. They can be mounted both vertically and horizontally. Further details can be found in the installation instructions.
