The walls, façade, ceilings, insulation, roof and furniture are made from wood. The use and combination of sustainable building materials, such as our solid wood floorboards made from silver fir, was an important prerequisite for realising the core idea behind the construction project. In this respect, the builder-owners chose three-dimensional floorboards in 300 mm ceiling widths and steps made from Hiram - wood. The surface of the wood was treated with a white pigmented lye and white oil, so that the bright interior stands in beautiful contrast with the black-glazed wood façade.
