Naturally connected – down to every fiber.

A wooden deck is more than just an outdoor space – it's a retreat, a summer living room, a place to arrive and unwind. Our Douglas fir decking brings the calm and authenticity of the Black Forest straight to your home. Locally grown, responsibly processed, and precision-cut to remain dimensionally stable for years to come – for lasting, sustainable moments in your favorite outdoor spot.

Sustainably grown – with a clear conscience

Our Douglas fir trees grow in the harsh climate of the Black Forest – slowly, resiliently, and naturally durable. The decking boards are regionally harvested, carefully dried, and expertly processed – with no long transport routes, no tropical hardwood, and no compromises. Choosing a wooden deck made from Black Forest Douglas fir means making a responsible decision – for local forests, short supply chains, and sustainable beauty.

Why rift-sawn? Here's why.

Our decking boards are produced using the rift or semi-rift sawing method. This means the growth rings run nearly parallel and perpendicular to the surface of the board. The result:

  • Minimal swelling and shrinkage
  • Reduced cracking
  • Excellent dimensional stability
  • Uniform grain for a calm, elegant appearance

Thanks to this special cut, your wooden deck stays stable and beautiful – even in changing weather conditions, and for many years to come.

All the benefits at a glance
  • Wood from the Black Forest – sustainable and PEFC-certified
  • Rift-sawn for stability – fewer cracks, less warping
  • Naturally durable without chemical treatment
  • Natural color variations and a warm, tactile feel
  • Can be sanded multiple times
  • Naturally untreated or optionally finished with oil
  • Flexible: compatible with concealed fastening systems
  • Ideal for long-lasting, barefoot-friendly wooden decks
Technical details

Our decking boards feature a smooth surface – and what many don’t realize: it offers the same slip resistance as grooved boards, while being significantly easier to maintain.
Thanks to the fine sanding and rift cut, the result is an elegant, almost knot-free appearance with a calm, even grain.

Natural weathering – character that grows over time

Douglas fir is a living natural material – and it changes with time. Unfinished decking boards develop a noble, silvery-gray patina under the influence of sun and rain. This natural weathering gives the wooden deck character, depth, and a timeless elegance that blends harmoniously with its surroundings.

For those who prefer to maintain the original color, a suitable exterior oil can be used to protect the wood – the choice is entirely yours.

Exterior oils – tailored to your preference

We supply our Douglas fir decking boards unfinished. To complement this, we offer a high-quality exterior oil that you can easily apply yourself. It protects the surface from weathering, reduces greying, and enhances the natural color of the wood – without masking its character. Get inspired by a selection of shades here – the full range of tones is available in the downloadable PDF.

Installation guidelines and accessories

With our Douglas fir decking boards, you have the choice of three high-quality installation systems – depending on the construction requirements and the desired look.

We are happy to assist you with the planning – from precise quantity calculations and the selection of the optimal installation system to choosing the right exterior oil for a customized color design.

Concealed fastening

For an invisible attachment, we offer the Eurotec system. The boards are screwed from below using special support profiles made of Douglas fir or aluminum. Adjustable feet allow for precise alignment. This system not only provides a high-quality appearance but also increases the longevity of your deck. You can order all the necessary accessories directly from us – delivered along with the decking boards from stock.

Invisible clip fastening

Our decking boards are available upon request with a special groove on the underside. This groove makes the boards compatible with the innovative GRAD® clip system. The major advantage: individual boards can be quickly and easily replaced when needed – perfect for efficient maintenance and long-term use. For more information, please visit the manufacturer’s website.

Visible screwing

The classic option: Our decking boards can be screwed from above onto a substructure made of wood or a system like Eurotec. Please note that with this method, moisture may enter the screw holes, which can lead to dark discoloration and, in freezing conditions, cracks in the wood. This may reduce the durability of the deck.

Care and durability

Our Douglas fir decking boards are naturally resistant and long-lasting – without the need for chemical treatments. The rift-sawn cut ensures that the wood hardly warps or cups under moisture or heat.

The smooth surface is not only pleasant to walk on barefoot but also especially easy to maintain: algae, dirt, and fine dust are less likely to settle than on grooved boards. Regular cleaning with water and a brush is usually sufficient – if desired, you can further protect the surface with natural oils to preserve the color.

With the right care, your Douglas fir wood deck will remain beautiful for many years – natural, honest, and enduring.

Good advice is the first step to the perfect wooden deck.
